I'm sorry, have not had time to try this one out yet, but with respect to the 'abstract 3D' format (rez, frequency) - even if they construct new spaces/actions/dynamics that have not been there before for us to explore, and as such do not 're-present' anything, a model still models something, it points to something that it is not, and this 'original' (sorry), it could be argued, does exist independently of the model. F.ex rez could not have been concieved by any artist (even if the artist had access to the tools) who was not familiar with the actual phenomenon (as well as the cultural idea more broadly) of outer space. The original is indeed there, in bits and pieces, just like it takes a hippo (?) and a horse to make a unicorn (which is also, it could be said, a 'copy without an original')

So where does this lead? not sure, but I guess part of my point is that when there are cultural associations to an abstract 3D (as f.ex Rez relates to hippies and drugs and Bruce Boxleitner and spaced out things), these associations do not only attach to the model itself, as this is implemented and being played out in the simulation, but they also attach to the original (the hippo).
